This is the third Ruth Chris Steak House we've been to. To start with, we had reservations. Our table was in the bar (the entire lower level) where we could watch sports on tv. We don't watch tv during dinner at home and certainly don't want to when we go out. To avoid the tv, we could have sat upstairs. FYI, the steps are very steep.
For a drink, I had the house special margarita. It was so sour & I could not pick up any tequila in it.
For an appetizer, we ordered the stuffed mushrooms and were served the crab stack. We asked about where the stuffed mushrooms were when the plate was delivered. I was told this is what we ordered. No we didn't. We decided to keep it. It was very good.
Next was the meal. No porterhouse steak for my husband. I order the two 4 oz filet medallions w shrimp to be cooked medium. I got well done! I kept it because I didn't want to wait for another filet while I watched my husband eat.
Our sides were creamed spinach & potatoes au gratin; both were good.
Since it was my husband's birthday, he received a free "assigned" dessert. No choice of desserts like most places.
We will never go back to the ABQ Ruth Chris Steak House.
