I have owned German Shepherds the past 30 years.

In November 2012 I lost my best friend. Exodus Zur Bindenburg.

He was 11 1/2 when he passed and took part of my heart with him.

Exy came from Kevin who owned his mother Coblenz Vom Noble.

I got him when he was a little over 4 years old. He came back to the US from Argentina where he had competed.

When I registered him with the AKC, I found out Kevin was the breeder.

I had spoken with Kevin a few times over the past year or so as I thought about getting Exy a friend.

So after of 6 months of being sad every day, I was at the point of being ready to find my new best friend.

After driving from Florida to Mass, I finally met Kevin, Kathy and the staff at Abby Kennels.

I had my girlfriend along with me, as well as her Papillion Stuey (9 pounds wet !).

Everyone at Abby Kennels was were friendly and helpful.

Kevin is the most knowledgeable person regarding dogs that I have ever met.

We looked at a few dogs, until he showed us Xena.

She is a 10 month old black GSD. She had been trained in obedience and was also housebroken.

As was with Exy, Kevin owns Xena's mother Ziva.

It was a match made in heaven........

Kevin payed close attention to the match and in fact had told me prior to driving up that he would not let me buy a dog that was a bad match.

Today makes 9 days since we got home with Xena.

She is the most amazing girl in the world.

She is everything I ever wanted and an absolute joy.

Her manners are impeccable, and she settled in to our daily routines fast.

She will be staying with Kevin when we ride cross country on a motorcycle this summer. I want her to continue learning to her full potential.

My first GSD was a Schutzhund III dog, my Rottweiler Sabrina, and Exy also had been fully trained dogs.

Our family increased in size from the trip to Abby.

Kevin and Kathy are now part of our family.

For anyone looking to add a dog to their family or have their dog trained or boarded, I highly recommend Kevin and Abby Kennels.

Exy will wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge, but that is hopefully many years away

I now look forward to many years with my new best friend Xena Zur Bindenburg.

We've been customers of Abby Kennels for the past three years. Our dog attends daycare there twice a week. Love the fact that she is out and active and playing. A lot of local doggie daycares crate the dogs and just take them out for limited playtime. Abby Kennels has a huge play area for the daycare dogs. We also board our dog at the Kennel and have always had a great experience. When she was younger, we bought a couple of training packages and felt the training we got was above and beyond anything else we found. Well worth every penny!

I have been taking my dogs to Abby Kennels for over four years now, and I am very happy with the care and attention that my dogs get there every time. It is always extremely clean, and they are very attentive to one of my dog's special dietary needs. When you go away on vacation you don't want to be worry about how your dogs are doing and if they are safe; by boarding my dogs at Abby Kennels, I know that my dogs will be taken good care of and are safe.



There are very tall fences around the entire place, and the owner lives on the premises, so there is always someone there with the dogs. It's not like other chain kennels, where the store closes and all the employees go home.



It is worth noting that the runs for each dog are huge and have an indoor and outdoor section separated with a doggie door, Compare this to other kennels that are completely indoors - your dog is going to the bathroom in the same area where he or she is sleeping. Your dog also learns that it's okay to go the bathroom indoors and goes back home to do the same thing. No thank you.



I have had many family members offer to watch my dogs when I have gone on trips, and I would rather pay to board my dogs at Abby Kennels, because it is worth

the peace of mind that I get knowing my dogs are safe. I trust the staff at Abby Kennels with my dogs more than I do my own family. I have sent many of my friends to Abby to board their dogs, and have gotten nothing but positive feedback from them. I would highly recommend Abby Kennels to anyone.

Everyone here has been very helpful! They show love and compassion towards the animals and the facilities are clean and they care about your needs as owners as well.

We bought a puppy from Kevin back in 2007 and continue to bring him for daycare, grooming and overnights. We love the kennel, they are like family to us.

I really like the training services they offer here at Abby Kennels. It has truly made a difference in my dogs life and mine. I couldn't be more satisfied.

Kevin is great! My dogs love coming here to Abby Kennels every time I have to leave town. Kevin knows how to take care of them and that is why I keep coming back.

Kevin is really great, I actually bought a puppy here and then had him help me with my dog's training. He did a great job and he really shows the dogs he cares about them. Every time my dog and I came for her training sessions she was very happy to see Kevin and I just had to say thanks Kevin you did a great job and she is an A+ dog.

My dog loves this place. Kevin has always been great with Chanti and has taught her so many things. When I first brought her she was reckless, I couldn't potty train her and she would bark at anything she heard or saw. Kevin has helped me make her a better little dog and I really appreciate his patience and time with Chanti. I highly recommend him, he is the best of the best!
