After leaving our dog the first time with this kennel I didn't have the best of feeling owner was out of town and the front desk lady covering was beyond rude and truly didn't care for the dogs. Later we came to find out it was the owners best friend. We had since boarded twice more the second time it was alright but ace didn't seem overly happy the third time we picked up him he was completely covered in urine and smelt terrible and we had to throw away his bed. This is the first time ace has ever came back nervous and covered in pee!! Our german shepherd never pees the bed! It had to have been a horrible experience for him and plus I don't like the fact you cannot see the kennels I'm only left to assume she doesn't clean them and doesn't truly take care of the dogs like her own

Excellent experience all the way around. Jim and Angie always go out of their way to make you and your pet feel at home. Highly recommend their kennel for boarding and also training.

YOU CANT HAVE YOU DOG STAY ANYWHERE ELSE. THEY ARE THE BEST CARE TAKERS AND THEY LOVE YOUR DOGS JUST LIKE THEIR OWN . I HAVE NO PROBLEM LETTING MY DOG STAY AT THE BARKER HAUSE KENNELS. FROM A DOG LOVER

I used this facility to board my German Shepherd. The owner was extremely rude. I will not go back, nor do I recommend this kennel.

I just tried calling and was rudely told to,"Call back later, I'm at lunch." I can just imagine how they are with animals

The people were very friendly and they lived there so I thought our dogs would be in constant care, but when we picked them up after a week vacation, we had to wait 40 mins before anyone showed up at the front office, our dogs smelled so bad, they had poop stain on them, and they looked like they lost weight, my dogs was so hungry when we brought them home that they ate so fast and threw up. We left a blanket for them and they put it in a bag because it smelled really bad and it had dog poop on them, why would anyone give me dog poop with the blanket, I guess they wanted me to have my dog's poop, makes me think if they actually keep the cages clean. I would not use them to care for my dogs again, would rather take them to a vet clinic where they might be left alone over night but at least they will be fed and clean.

Although there are other boarders closer to my west side residence I prefer to take a drive and take my dog to Barkerhaus. The holidays are a crazy time for my family and leaving my pet with Barkerhaus is just one thing I don't have to worry about. They've always taken care of our dogs like they were their own and are as happy to see them as our dogs are to be there. Highly recommend the Christmas stocking! A treat every day - what could be better??
