I highly recommend using Gillette Kennels for boarding, boarding school and classes. We have used Kirk Gillette for obedience training for both our Goldendoodles. Both dogs have come home with knowledge of basic training commands. We are a busy family and wanted a well behaved dog but didn't have time to set the foundation. The two week school worked great for our family. The facility is extremely. clean and the staff is very friendly

I have been a client of Gillette Kennels for more than 15 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I have used their kennels for my dogs and cat, boarding school and obedience training classes. They are competitively priced and I think you get the best care for your pets with them. Kirk Gillette is a hands-on owner who really takes a genuine interest to make sure your pet’s stay is to your satisfaction.

The office and training associates are very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They are precise and detailed-oriented with their accounts and record keeping activities.

Most of the information I have needed, I am able to find on their website which is very comprehensive and then just verified, if necessary, upon confirmation or check-in.

Boarding facilities are spacious, well maintained and very clean. Kennel sizes are more than adequate with private outside runs for each kennel. I love the rent-a-bed option they offer (one thing less for me to worry about). The room where cats are boarded is very bright and sunny with windows for the cats.

Best recommendation I can make is that my pets love this place and the people there! Sometimes I think they’d rather stay there than come home with me.

Pros: the place is clean, kennels are in good condition.

Cons: they charge you $2 for 15-20 mins for exercise your dog, the place where your dog excercises is just to tinny for big dogs. The kennels for large breeds are little. The guy who attend us was rushing us out of the place even tough today is the day the show the kennels. He told us and quote "if you want to make a reservation go to internet that is for new costumers". So we just leave cause I just didn't feel they really need my business. 3 minutes visit enough for realize that they will not take good care of my dog.

I recently boarded my two dogs at Gillette Kennels.The prices are very competitive. Maybe not the cheapest I could find, but not the most expensive either. I had them boarded in the same "run" and received a discounted price for doing so. I took an unannounced tour of Gillette's and a couple other facilities as this was my first time boarding in the area and decided it was worth an extra dollar or two to have my boys boarded here. You get what you pay for. The facility was very clean and the gentleman who showed me around was very friendly and knowledgeable. I liked the fact that my boys had access to their own inside and outside portions of their "run" that they could access whenever they wanted. Their hours of operation work much like a hotel, so if you check out before 11:00am, which I did, you are not charged for the day. Their hours are pretty typical, I wanted to pick up on a Sunday and they were open pretty much all day. A couple of the other places I checked out had much more limited hours.

My pug and i have been staying here since he was a puppy and now he's 9. They always take great care of him, the place is always clean and staff are very nice. I would never take him anywhere else. I know he is going to be well taken care of and happy when he comes home.

My boyfriend has been boarding his dog for many years. They offer a very clean and safe environment. They are very friendly and take excellent care of his dog while we are away. They offer a wide range of hours to drop off and pick up, so we are always able to go on a few day trip without having to worry. His dog is always welcomed like one of the family. He is well fed and always looks clean and happy when picked up. I would highly recommend this kennel. They also offer obedience training. Another great thing for pet owners.

This is by far the best kennel in the area! Over the past several years I have had the opportunity to use MANY local kennels...I never felt fully comfortable boarding my dogs and cat, that is until I found Gillette. I started using Gillette Kennels several years ago, long before they built their new facility. I loved their original kennel but their new kennel is amazing. When you walk into the reception area you will think or say WOW, I can't believe that this is a kennel. Please do yourself a favor and call or email them and take a tour. They will be happy to show you where your dog will stay and will explain everything you need to know in detail.

We have been boarding our dog here for the past few years since he was a puppy. The facilities are very nice and much cleaner than any other kennels I have ever been to. The staff is very friendly and I always feel good about leaving my dog there while I am away. I have also gone through the Basic Obedience classes and have been very happy with the results.

After boarding with Gillette Kennels this past summer I decided enroll my dog Vaya into boarding school. I am very satisfied at the progress that was made during her two week stay. During these two weeks I also boarded my older dog Kilo and during his stay he was having severe back spasms that hindered his movement. The staff worked with him and gave him his medications as directed. I was very pleased at how well they took care of Kilo despite his old age and condition. I would highly recommend Gillette Kennels for boarding as well as training.

I've been bringing my dogs here for years but they don't handle older dogs well I left my almost 16 year old Shepard mix with them for a week when i went out of town with special warning about him having trouble standing up on smooth surfaces. When i came to pick him up he smelled and had a sore on his back leg that was so bad there where maggots in the wound, It looked like he had been laying in his own filth for days. My dog never fully recovered from this ordeal and passed away about 6 months after he was there. I know he was an old dog but i think if they would have taken better care of him while he was there he would have had a little more time with me and maybe still with me. The thing that really hurt though is that nobody from there after giving them my business for years and knowing how bad of shape my dog was in when i picked him up they never contacted me to see how he was. I'm sure they knew they had lost a customer so they saw no need.

This company was very polite and informative. They were able to problem solve with me and then help me to set up a program to train my dog. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of obedience training for their pet.
