I wanted a vet closer to my house so I took my dog to the northside animal clinic. Asked to have her nails cut so i folowed the lady and she stopped me quickly saying no one can go in while we cut her nails. i asked her why and she said because you can't now go sit down and i will bring her out to you. I also wanted her to have a bordella shot and they did that. Six months later I got notice by mail she was due for her bordella shot so i called them to tell them she already had it. They said they only give half and you come back six months later. nice rackett having to pay for two visits for bordella. What a con. Their prices are horribly expensive. Nails clipped for 12.00 and not done well at all yet I brought her to her new vet today and it was only 7.50 When i brought her for all her shots to northside the bill came to a little over 300.00 for the year and today I brought her to another vet i had used years ago and because she didnt need her checkup but shots the bill was 44.50 you do the math.

I would give all zeros for this rating if I could. If you want to order your Fur Baby's medication through PetMeds and the medication needs approval from a vet then be prepared to pay a $15 charge from North Polk Animal Hospital. This establishment will not let you order medication or any other products through PetMeds that need vet approval unless you pay them $15. I tried to talk to the Manager, Danielle at the Outback location about it but she literally hung the phone up on me. I called several vets in my area to find out if this is done by other vets and they literally are the only office that does this. I will no longer be doing business with them because they want to charge/punish me for wanting to use an outside source to fill my Fur Baby's medication. They seem to be more concerned with getting money from you then your Fur Babies getting their medication. A doctor doesn't charge you to fill a prescription at a pharmacy why should they? These people have lost their mind!!!

We had no problem with Dr. Saylor, previous owner-he retired, some reviews say didn't like him, but we did-he was good. These folks that took over seem to be good with animals and we've been pleased with service so far.

I heard it was under new ownership so I thought I'd give it another try. As soon as you open the door you'll know that this is a very different business from the last one with its open floor plan and clean sanitary smell. My cat was very sick but finances were not great so Dr. Walker gave us different options and never suggested just euthanize the pet. (my previous experience). I've been there twice since then and they've been awesome every time.

Under new ownership!

Doctor Saylor has retired and is no longer affiliated with this clinic. We are now open Monday thru Saturday, 8-6. Stop by to see the changes that are being made or call to set up an appointment with the new doctors.

Dr. Saylor was fabulous and his staff was so kind. THe last time my pet went to a vet she FREAKED. But the people here were so gentle. She just laid down and let them baby her. The doctor was honest and gave me a fair assessment and offered estimates before the care. Very affordable, and flexible. Thanks so much for your care.

A Good Vet given a bad rep

I have read the previous reviews, I have never experienced Dr. Saylor or Dr.Sawyer or staff being rude or unprofessional. Dr. Saylor is very knowledgeable, and cares a great deal about animals; I have been going to him for over 15years. I have never had problems with him trying to "up sell" me in buying anything that I didn't want nor did he make me feel that I should. Anytime that I have had questions about anything he has always answered me, very thoroughly and professionally, I was never made to feel stupid. I would recommend him to everyone that I know, he and his staff have been in Lakeland for years, and they are very professional, and kind. I hope that all the other reviews don't discourage any one else, he is truly a good vet and knows what he is doing, and what is best for your pet. I recommend him and his staff very highly.
