I will be honest, after reading all of these reviews I was very concerned about renting a car from them. I went to pick up the car..the customer service representative was nice and obviously completed all her job requirements. (Offer insurance, upgraded car and fuel) I declined all, not needing to spend the extra money. I went out to get the car. (In which I expected to be crappy and completely over used) and to my surprise got a 2013 elantra, which ran excellent. I kept it for 3 days... took it back late at night (which there is no additional charge for) and paid. No hidden fees or unexpected charges. I have waited to write this review just to make sure my entire deposit came back...and it did. I'm happy with my rental experience and if I need to rent a car again this is definitely the place due to Affordability and quality. Thanks, Fox Rent A Car!!

This place is unethical and dishonest! I booked this because it was the least expensive. I should have known better. I had prepaid what was shown as the "total rental" cost according to the reservation. When I got there the attendant said there would be airport "fees", and he would charge my card $200 which would be refunded upon return of the car. This is normal but when I asked about the "fees" he assured me these fees were in the total cost of what I had prepaid. The car seats were filthy, well, no big deal, you get what you pay for.

Upon return, they said I had been refunded the retainer and my total charge was what I had prepaid. Also I had agreed to let them fill it up at a reduced price per gallon. The reality is, they don't fill it up, they instead charge for a tank of gas regardless of the fact the tank was half full when returned. Okay, caveat emptor, buyer beware and all that... but they were deceptive, intentionally trying to hide the actual charge and being intentionally deceptive. Even their printed statement was deceiving and when asked for an explanation, I was again told the charge was XX which was the same as my prepaid amount. I ended up paying almost $100 more than I would have for a better car at a "reputable" rental agency.

I gave it a "one star" rating only because it wouldn't let me post this review with NO stars. Consider the one star a MINUS one! I wish I had read this site beforehand.

Avoid these folks like the plague! These are real shysters and they are good at deception. You've been warned!

When I landed in Salt Lake City, I went to the rental car counter area. I knew that Fox was off-terminal (from my travel agent), but I thought that I could get directions. After much searching, I found a listing for them on the courtesy phone. I dialed their listing, negotiated the voicemail tree, and was told by the recording to sit by the orange-painted curb between Terminals 1 & 2. Back to the terminal I went.



Where I waited for 45 minutes. I finally called them from my cell phone (Thanks, YP!) and after negotiating a huge menu managed to get a breathing body, who told me the recording was wrong, and to go to the parking garage, which is where I finally found their shuttle.



The shuttle driver told me he got complaints about this ALL THE TIME.



In addition, the office building was a decrepit shack, no one seemed to know what they were doing, and the car interior was filthy.

If there was an option to give zero stars I would totally do that, because 1 star is a total waste for this place.



It's been a couple of weeks since our trip to Vegas and I'm still under the impression from this place. It is almost like a shock. So I made an online reservation because this was the cheapest one and there are right next to the airport. When I showed up there to pick up my car the guy behind the counter was chewing on a Subway sandwich and didn't ever bother swallowing or apologizing when I walked in. Then he tried upselling on every single option he possibly could, even bull***ed me something about "this car has bad gas millage because of the small tank" (?!?!) Anyway they didn't have any compact cars so he said I would have to PAY FOR THE UPGRADE!!! And when I spoke to the manager he said that there's nothing he could do and that they do not give free upgrades in the high skiing season!

Anyway the bottom line is: do not go to this place, go to the airport.
